Positive Chants
Featuring Oba-da-Wa and IRIS-P On vocals Chants written by Mestre Curtis
The songs are about the positive things that we need to have in our lives. Things that we are missing And Maybe some things we have too much. Within these songs everything is positive. I have taken some African Nigerian melodies and turn them into English positive chance Miller’s these where they came from or about positive chance About kings from Africa like Ogum And Xango Also queens like Yamaja, Oxum and Yansa.
I have taken some African Nigerian melodies and turn them into English Positive Chants because this is what most of the African Chants with the drumming styles that I have learned were always about positivity. I think some of these Positive Chants about kings from Africa like Ogum and Xango Also queens like Yamaja, Oxum, and Yansa have positive messages for everyone.
OUR VISION
Positive Chants Are a great way to get any type of audience involved The hardest thing with a lot of the traditional percussion songs is that they’re in Language that nobody really understands. So now I am able to put melodies together that will highlight Positive Spoken Word things in the way we know and understand.
OUR VISION
These chants are for everyone We started out thinking about giving good things for kids to think about after they leave our performance but we realized everybody needs something good to think about when they leave our performance.
